Lake Elizabeth
Lake Elizabeth is about an hour drive off the Great Ocean Road from Apollo Bay.
Firstly the lake is not accessible with caravan or camping trailer, however a normal 2W drive car can make it to the parking lot. The walk around the lake is a 5km walk, mostly shaded and includes couple of benches to take a seat. The lake itself is so scenic especially if you visit either early in the morning! This is when the mist rolls in and it just gives even a more mystic feeling about this pristine place.

The circuit walk around the lake takes about 60-90 minutes.
If you are prepared to hike in you will be rewarded by the magnificence of this pristine place. Early in the morning the mist sits above the Lake. If you are patient and lucky you may see the incredible platypi. It’s a mystical place exhibiting stunning flora and fauna
How to get to Lake Elizabeth
Lake Elizabeth is 210km-s (west) away from Melbourne on the Great Ocean Road. Drive towards Apollo Bay on B100 and just before reaching Apollo Bay, turn off onto road No C119. The lake is about half an hour drive from Apollo Bay.
